More from COBB: 'The COBB Knob is designed to keep those extended shifting sessions exhilarating. Fits perfectly in the palm of your hand and never gets hot in summer. 113.5 gram weight is perfect for fast shifting. Satin black delrin knob stays comfortable in hot and cold. The COBB Tuning shift knob is made of black delrin and billet aluminum anodized in red or black with the COBB logo engraved in the base. Unfortunately I forgot to take a bunch of pictures but I do have some of it on the car so here they are. Anodized Aluminum Base, Laser Etched Logo. While not exactly inexpensive I am very happy with it. It also seems to me that the throws were shortened a little bit and seem to be a bit more precise. Also since the knob is made from delrin it has not gotten very cold on some of these cold new england days. Not sure how it would be for those who prefer to hold the knob on the side, but on top its nice. Just fits right in there and is very comfortable. I was also impressed how accurate the threads are placed so that when the knob is tightened down the two Cobb engravings are front and rear.ĭriving with it for the past month or so has been quite enjoyable. Once installed it dropped the height quite a bit, prob over an inch as the Cobb knob itself is about 1/2 inch shorter then the stock one, and it appears that the threads go deeper into the Cobb Knob. Install was quite easy and I know there are other threads on here saying how to. In comparison to the stock knob it is definitely lighter and and much shorter. Especially the blue bottom to it, which on the five speed knob has the lip to hold the shift boot up. Out of the box the knob seems quite small, but the finish is very nice. I ordered the Cobb knob from stillen racing for about $75 all said and done. The stock knob is nice but it definitely makes for a fairly tall shifter and some longer throws. So about a month ago purchased the Cobb Shift Knob for our legacy and I must say I am very impressed. Just a warning this is my first review so I hope its not too bad.
